Back in 1991, I created a cassette mixtape called “Sam Maxion’s Jam Medleys Phase 1 & 2″ (side A was Phase 1, etc.). A production mega power mix created on a Tascam multi-track 4 track recorder. A full retail product with bar codes, sold at various music stores such as Rock Bottom Records (Antioch) & Tower Records (Concord). The cassette sold over 500 copies locally. In 1992, the 2nd mixtape came out “Phase 3 & 4″. Same mega-mix structure with more tracks, sold over 1000. Both tapes have a photo of me in the trendy fashion of the era “MC Hammer like” LOL. Its the mix that counts so enjoy. Note: If anyone has these cassettes with the original packaging, let me know.
